Installing a Bathroom Butler Heated Wall Towel Rack

Choosing a Product:

The two most important factors on deciding which Bathroom Butler product is right for your bathroom are the space available for the selected product and the access to electricity in that area.  In our bathroom, we picked out the wall space that made the most sense as the location, and then we selected a product that best fit that space.

Install:

As a weekend warrior, I did not think this project was too difficult.  I want to start off by saying that you should consult with or hire an electrician before attempting any type of electrical modification or installation.  I consulted with my electrician on the project, and he agreed with the course of action I suggested.  I want to point out that the electrical power source we chose was actually located on the other side of the wall in the master closet.

Running additional wire from the outlet in the closet, adding the power switch, and installing the electrical box to connect to the bathroom butler was pretty straightforward to me, but definitely recommend talking over the project with an electrician and then choosing the best course of action for the install.

Product assembly:

Assembly of the bathroom butler product was very simple and the product itself was sturdy.  I’ve installed a lot of products that have confusing designs, but this product made sense and seemed extremely sturdy.

Wall attachment:

In a perfect world, you would be able to attach the product directly to studs, but I had to use the drywall anchors.  The drywall anchors were heavy duty, just made sure NEVER to reverse your drill when installing the anchors.  A special tool is included with the anchors and this tool pulls straight out after the anchor is drilled in, but your instinct will be to reverse the drill instead of simply pulling the drill away from the anchor after the anchor is set.

Final notes:

-Although I completed this project by myself, having two people will be helpful when hanging to the wall.

-There is a paper mounting template included with
the product, just be sure to measure your distances as well just to ensure accuracy.  Once you mess up an anchor in drywall, it can be difficult to correct after the fact.  So save yourself an extra 30 minute youtube project, and measure correctly the first time.

-I ensured my install was level by using the laser level; while not required, it doesn’t hurt to use the laser after you mark your initial drill points.

-Just remember that you have to pick the most suitable spot in your bathroom for this product, so it’s best to keep this as your first priority when choosing the bathroom butler design that’s right for your space.

I hope you love your Bathroom Butler products!!!

best,
